The benefits to living, working, shopping, playing and doing business in Brentwood are endless.

Brentwood is a thriving community located in the heart of St. Louis County, just south of the County seat, Clayton, Missouri and 1.5 miles west of the City of St. Louis. Brentwood is just minutes from area attractions such as Forest Park, the St. Louis Science Center, the St. Louis Art Museum and the world renowned St. Louis Zoo. Brentwood is also in close proximity to I-170, I-44, and I-64.

The City of Brentwood is a progressive community - one that is moving forward while still maintaining an atmosphere that keeps us unique. Brentwood is known as the "City of Warmth" to our residents because of its small town charm and sense of community. The city's annual festival "Brentwood Days" brings the community together in Brentwood Park each September for live entertainment, great food, free carnival rides and games, and a great fireworks show. Brentwood's Parks & Recreation Department offers fitness and educational classes, an indoor ice rink and sports leagues. Residents age 60 and over or with disabilities can access free transportation to shopping, doctor visits, or other destinations throughout the area via the City's MAGIC bus service.

Brentwood is a premier residential community. Our community offers a wide variety of housing options, including single family homes in a variety of desirable housing styles, upscale yet affordable condominium developments and apartments. Brentwood is a full service community that provides fully staffed police and fire departments, city-owned and operated residential trash and curbside recycling services, and one-stop shop licensing and permitting. With its housing quality and variety, beautiful neighborhoods, ample parks and walking trails, and top notch city services, the quality of life in Brentwood is unsurpassed in the region.

The City of Brentwood encompasses a mere 1.5 square miles yet is packed full of advantages as a business and employment center too. As part of the mid-county employment hub, the city's daytime population is approximately 22,000, nearly triple the residential population. Our central location in the region, as well as our proximity to major research hospitals, universities and downtown St. Louis are reasons many technology and life-science businesses have located here, many of them in Hanley Industrial Park. For many of our national retailers, Brentwood is the location of their best performing store in the region.
